Callum James Irby was born on May 2, 2012! He’s finally here!
He weighed 8.05 lbs and was 20.5 inches. At the moment, he’s upstairs taking a nap. He and B’linda are doing well. Isobel has taking a liking to him as well; she keeps wanting to “kiss kiss” the baby.
We’ve already gotten the Cypriot birth certificate. We’ll work on getting the applications into the US Embassy on Friday for the Report of Birth Abroad certificate, US passport and US social security number. More updates to come….
Ever have one of those days that everything you try to do takes 5x longer than you expected? Today is one of those days. Thankfully, I’m not referring to the baby being born (that would be awful if labor took 5x longer than expected)….just talking sharepoint today.

B’linda’s mom and grandmother arrived Wednesday morning, but the baby still has not been born yet. We had another doctor appointment today, but there’s no news or anything out of the ordinary to report. We’re just hanging in there. Maybe we’ll have some news in the next 48 hours….

We had another dr appointment today to check out B’linda and the baby. There wasn’t any major change or update, so we’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Our next dr appointment is next Friday, April 27. We’ll see if anything changes by then.

In case you don’t receive our prayer letters but are following our blog, you may not know that we are planning to return to the US in June. We have almost 2 months left in Cyprus before we plan to fly back to Houston. Our current plans are to spend a couple of weeks in Houston, move onto San Antonio for a couple of weeks, spend time with our mission in Colorado Springs for a couple of weeks, and then we’ll return to San Antonio for family-time. That gets us to the first week of August. After that, we’ll see…
